- Requires the Instructional Quality Commission, in the next revision of the Health Framework for California Public Schools, to consider and recommend sexual-health instruction content on dating abuse and digital violence to the State Board of Education.
- Defines covered content to include digital and online safety risks, including nonconsensual intimate imagery, deepfakes, online grooming, sextortion, stalking, and misuse of generative artificial intelligence.
- Includes age-appropriate, inclusive information on legal protections, restraining orders, and seeking help from trusted adults, school staff, and community resources.
- Calls for instruction responsive to LGBTQIA+ and gender-diverse pupils’ experiences of dating violence and technology-facilitated abuse.
