Public health: public postsecondary education: student health centers: abortion by medication techniques

CSU and UC health centers must publicize existing medication-abortion services by 2028. Community colleges with student health centers must provide access beginning in 2029 if the Legislature appropriates funding.

• Requires CSU and UC student health centers to promote, inform students about, and post online the availability of medication-abortion services by January 1, 2028.
• Requires funded community colleges with student health centers to offer medication-abortion access, including onsite care, telehealth, contracted providers, or written referral partnerships, starting January 1, 2029.
• Requires community colleges to publicize and post online the medication-abortion services they make accessible.
• Authorizes implementation and operating funds for telehealth, outside-provider contracts, staffing, training, outreach, billing support, and reporting.
• Requires the Commission on the Status of Women and Girls to report on community-college access by January 1, 2030 and develop privacy-protective, low-burden reporting rules with the Chancellor of the California Community Colleges.
